How to get rid of bad old habits
Updated: Oct 15, 2019
Temporal tap is one way of reprogramming the brain and helping you to form new habits. This kinesiology technique discovered by chiropractor George Goodheart in the 1970’s makes the brain more receptive to leaning, installs new affirmations, breaks bad habits and changes many patterns that cannot be overcome by willpower. The temporal tap takes advantage of the differences between the left and right hemispheres of the cerebral cortex.
You begin by identifying a habit, attitude or condition in your life that you would like to change. Form it into a simple sentence in your own words and language and tap. Affirmations can be anything that you wish to become true. Sounds too simple to work? The tapping around the top of the ear actually calms the part of nervous system that fights to maintain your current believe and the brain is more receptive to learning new beliefs.
This technique is well endorsed by the energy medicine queen Donna Eden. I have seen it to work in my practice for anxiety, nail biting, smoking, drinking, overeating, confidence building, learning, immune system, metabolism, coordination and emotional issues.
